This 15-week course (2 hours per week) is the perfect starting point for building your confidence with the digital tools used in today’s creative workplaces. It is designed for anyone who wants to develop practical digital skills with a focus on fashion and the creative industries. Whether you are completely new to digital tools or looking to build on your existing knowledge, this course provides a solid foundation in the skills most commonly used in creative work environments.
You’ll learn practical skills that can support your studies, boost your employability, and help you take the next steps towards a creative career. We’ll briefly cover the basics of using email and organising files, but the main focus is on creative software and applications. You will explore how to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for image editing and digital design, Canva for quick and professional graphics, and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint to support planning, communication and presentation. Alongside this, you’ll learn how to use online platforms for research and self-promotion, and how to work safely and responsibly in digital spaces.
By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident using digital technology in a creative context and be better prepared for further study, training, or opportunities in fashion and the wider creative industries.
