Course introduction

This course is perfect if you would like to develop your skills in a half day class exploring beadwork, creating either a piece of jewellery, a key ring or a bookmark from a selection of plastic beads.  

This class is targeted at students that would like to try something new and create something that they can take home after the class. 

Throughout the session you will learn how to work with different types of plastic beads to create something of your choosing. 

Your tutor will talk to you about the different types of beads available and will help you to create your own design for the jewellery item of your choosing, bookmark or keyring.  

Course information

There are no entry requirements but you must be aged 19+.

You may also like to join us for other available courses during the week of our Adult Summer Arts Programme. These include: Beadwork, Printmaking, Life Drawing, Life Painting with oils, Sketch booking, Ceramics Throwing and Turning , Mixed Media and Gelli Printing and Model Making.

You can also progress onto our part-time adult classes in art and design in 2026/2027.

You may want to bring with you some drawing or writing equipment as you may need this throughout the day.
