Course introduction

This course is perfect if would like to develop your skills on a day long programme in Mixed Media and Gelli Printing.

This class is targeted at students with no previous experience that would like to learn new skills and explore their creativity.

Throughout the morning you will work from still life set ups with a range of dry and wet drawing media such as pencil, pen, paints and inks to develop a variety of work.

In the afternoon you will be introduced to Gelli Printing, a modern type of monoprinting where you are able to create prints using a gel printing plate.

You will apply layers of acrylic paint or printing ink onto the gel plate and then have the opportunity to manipulate the paint with various tools and transfer the image onto paper by pressing it firmly onto the plate.

The result is a one-of-a-kind print including colour, texture and pattern.

You will create a range of different pieces of work which you can take home with you, either on the day or at an arranged later date.
