Feeling stressed or struggling? We’re here for you
Life can be a lot sometimes, school, friends, family, exams, and everything else going on. If things ever feel overwhelming, you're not alone. At Nottingham College, we’ve got a friendly team ready to support you with whatever you're going through.
What We Can Help With
Our Wellbeing Mentors are here to listen and help you figure things out. You can talk to us about loads of things, like:
- Feeling anxious, low, or stressed
- Pressure from school or exams
- Self-harm or scary thoughts
- Problems at home or with housing
- Money worries
- Not feeling motivated or missing lessons
- Struggles with alcohol or drugs
- Bullying or abuse
- Questions about gender or sexuality
- Sexual health
- Losing someone close
- Being a young carer
- Involvement with youth services
- Or anything else that’s bothering you
You don’t have to deal with it all by yourself. Whether you just want someone to talk to or need help finding the right support, we’re here.
How to get support
You can:
- Speak to a Wellbeing Mentor directly
- Or email us at wellbeing@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk
We’ll make sure you get the right help, and everything you share is kept private. You don’t have to tell your tutor or anyone else unless you want to.
Why it’s okay to ask for help
Looking after your mental health is just as important as doing well in class. Asking for help shows strength, not weakness, and it can really make a difference to how you feel and how you do at college.
