Our part-time courses are designed to fit around your life, whether you’re looking to boost your career, learn a new skill, or pursue a personal interest. Applying is simple and straightforward, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
On this page, you’ll find everything you need to know about the application process. Let’s get started on your journey to learning with flexibility and support.
Community courses
Start by choosing the course that you think is right for you. You can browse our full list of community courses here and then you can apply directly online.
Your application will be picked up by the community team and they will contact the you directly to give you instructions about how to upload any documents that may be required and enrol you onto the course.
If you are required to pay, we can take cash, card and cheque payments on campus or if you are happy to share card details over the phone, we can take telephone payments during our normal opening times.
Once you have done this, you will receive an email stating that you are now enrolled and ask you to review your learning agreement. This will require you to log into your account.
We do not send reminders about when the course starts, so please ensure you make a note of the start date when you apply.
Other part-time courses
Start by choosing the course that you think is right for you. You can browse our full list of part-time courses here and then you can apply directly online.
Once you have applied, your application will be processed by a member of the enrolment team. If we don't need any other information, you will automatically be enrolled and you will receive an email stating you have been enrolled and asking you to review your learning agreement. This will require you to log into your account.
If we do need more information, a member of the team will contact you either by phone or email explaining what you need to do. More information may include proof of identification or income evidence to support course fee remission. If we do not get the information we need within a week of requesting it, your application will be withdrawn.
Some courses require an informal interview and/or an assessment. This could be to assess the level of English/maths you are working at, or in the case of hair and beauty courses, a dexterity test.
Once we have everything we need you will be enrolled on the course and you will receive an email stating you have been enrolled and asking you to review your learning agreement. This will require you to log into your account.
