Ever wanted to be on the great British Bake Off, MasterChef, or try your hand at being a pastry chef?
Well now’s your chance!
Join us on classic Desserts, for 6 weeks you will learn how to produce classic desserts ranging from the world-famous crème brulee to the pastry staple croissant. You’ll be instructed by an experienced pastry chef who will teach you the tips and tricks pastry chefs like to keep for themselves, like producing chocolate soils and compressing fruits for added sweetness.
So join us and learn to wow your friends and family, as a home pastry chef.
Topics include:
- Week 1: Lemon posset with shortbread
- Week 2: Choux pastry eclairs with pastry cream and chocolate
- Week 3: Rum baba with coconut cream
- Week 4: Creme brulee with 'pastry chef garnishes': compressed strawberries and white chocolate soil
- Week 5: Lemon meringue tart - you will also discuss different types of pastry and different types of meringue
- Week 6: Croissants - you will also discuss the different types of Danish pastries
