The CKR1 module is a specialist assessment under the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) for gas engineers working with domestic cookers. Delivered part-time to suit busy professionals, this course provides the essential training and certification required to install, commission, service, and repair gas cooking appliances safely and in compliance with current regulations.
This assessment tests the gas safety competence in installing, exchanging, disconnecting, servicing, repairing, breakdown and commissioning domestic cooking appliances.
Appliances covered in this assessment are:
- Free standing and slide in cookers
- Built-in hotplates
- Built-in/under ovens and grill units
Course information
12 hours
You must have an in-date Core Gas Safety Certificate (CCN1) and experience of working with domestic gas cookers.
You will undertake practical activities and written tests to assess competence.
