Course information

College Certificate

You should have completed the Introduction to Python - Foundations of Coding course or possess equivalent knowledge of Python fundamentals, including variables, functions, loops, conditional statements and basic data structures.

There are no formal examinations. You will complete practical programming activities throughout the course, culminating in the design, development and presentation of a substantial Python application that demonstrates the advanced programming techniques developed over the ten weeks.

This course builds directly upon the Introduction to Python course and assumes you are already comfortable with basic programming concepts. You should have access to a Windows computer for practising at home, although computers will be available during taught sessions. Python and all required software are free to download and install, with guidance provided during the course.
