Course introduction

This course is perfect for those who work within mental health area or those wishing to enter the job market.

This could also be a good course if you are supporting others with a mental health condition. The course is also useful for if you are trained in Mental Health First Aid or want to progress from the Level 2 Awareness of Mental Health.

The course is designed as a follow on from the Level 2 course which provides more detailed information on all aspects of mental health and how to support those with mental health conditions.

The modules covered within the subject are:

  • Living with a mental health condition
  • Mental health conditions and destructive behaviour
  • Understanding mental health conditions in context
  • Understand the role of the mental health care worker
  • Understanding treatment of mental health conditions

Duration: You will study this course at your own pace, but it must be completed within 12 weeks. You will receive an automated email reminding you of when you need to complete your assignment.

TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health

You must be aged 19+ and have completed the Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health.

The course is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subjects. You will be assessed on your knowledge and understanding throughout the course.

All learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be met to achieve a Pass.

You could progress onto other mental health or counselling skills qualifications.
