Course introduction

This course is perfect if you have a desire to learn about other cultures and history through food and want to learn to make classic and beloved dishes from around the world. 

You will learn about: 

  • The combined origins of your favourite dishes and how cultures have blended to make unique dishes
  • The history and origins of your favourite dishes, such as chicken tikka masala and pasta
  • The history that has created famous dishes around the world such as Korean army stew
  • The blending of cultures which have given rise to food we love. 

You can expect hands on practical lessons with an experienced chef lecturer andhe chance to make new food, which is yours to take home at the end of the session.

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be aged 19+.

You will receive verbal feedback throughout the course from your chef lecturer.

Onto other part-time cookery courses or even a full-time course at Nottingham College.
