Last week, Nottingham College hosted its first national conference at Nottingham One Unit D.
Organised by our Quality and Planning team, in partnership with our system provider Century Tech, the event brought together guest speakers from the Association of Colleges, our very own Ruth Perry, Vice Principal - Improvement & Innovation, and key figures from colleges across the country for a day of discussion and collaboration.
Camilla Collins (Century Tech) said:
“It's about collaborating with colleges across the country. We've got colleges from all over. It's about getting them to engage with each other and spread ideas across the board, basically share best practice.”
Ruth Perry, Vice Principal — Innovation and Improvement, who kicked off the event said:
It's a really good opportunity for us to collaborate with leaders in maths and English across the country and share our new and innovative maths and English strategy, which brings in the use of AI technology to drive performance in the classroom.”
Century Tech Coordinator and lead organiser of the event, Julia Jaksik, said:
“Providing a platform where such a diverse group of representatives – 33 FE colleges, 6 training providers and AoC directors – can share practice and gain inspiration has been very meaningful to experience. Hosting this conference has been important to highlight how small changes can lead to significant improvement for both students and teachers in the English and maths sector. We are thrilled and extremely proud to collaborate in organising a successful national conference of this scale. 100% of the profits from ticket sales are being donated to our partner charity Base 51, equating to over £1800 dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the young people they support.”
