Our Ruddington campus recently had the privilege of welcoming  Andy Holton from Anest Iwata UK to EMTEC, where he delivered an engaging and informative session to over 20 of our highly skilled automotive apprentices.

As a company with a long-standing heritage in developing high-precision spray equipment and coating solutions, Anest Iwata is known for its commitment to quality and innovation. Andrew’s presentation gave our apprentices valuable insight into what sets the brand apart in a competitive industry.

Following the talk, apprentices had the opportunity to put their skills into practice using Anest Iwata’s market-leading spray guns in our state-of-the-art paint booths. It was an excellent chance for them to showcase their abilities while receiving direct guidance from a representative of one of the world’s leading paint equipment manufacturers.

Andy Holton from Anest Iwata said:

"I always feel privileged to be able to offer such sessions to our next generation coming into the industry. As I said during my presentation, they are more than just apprentices they are the future bodyshop managers, owners, sales representatives, technical demonstrators and much more."

Pastoral Coordinator for Apprenticeships, Bradley Foley said:

“Events like this are not only about technical skills - they’re about investing in our apprentices’ personal and professional development. Supporting them to build confidence, grow industry knowledge and develop a wider set of skills ensuring they leave EMTEC and Nottingham College truly future-ready.

“A special shout out to Paul Wright ( (Learning & Skills Trainer for Apprenticeships) for leading on the planning on this event and a big thank you again to Andrew and the team at Anest Iwata for their time, expertise, and passion for developing the next generation."
