You’ll learn the basics of good business practice, developing your skills in areas such as being organised, working with others, plus researching a topic, which are great transferable skills for work.
Units include:
- finding and using information on the internet and then using these to create documents, images and presentations
- understanding how to be safe and responsible online
- communicating socially and professionally using email, messaging and social media
- accessing services or applying for a job online.
Being more confident using the internet and communicating online can:
- help you keep in touch with new technologies such as AI
- increase your chances of getting a job that requires digital literacy
- improve your access to information, advice and services
- will open up learning, training and career opportunities
You can expect the opportunity to demonstrate the skills you’ll learn in applied scenarios, with a range of assessment methods. You’ll be encouraged to develop your skills along the way by supportive staff.
