Construction
We are one of the largest providers of construction training in the Midlands, and we’ve invested heavily in our facilities, so you’ll have access to industry-standard workshops and fantastic resources. In fact, we have been highly recommended by the construction sector body, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), so you can be confident you will be in a great learning environment.
Our teaching staff have had years of experience in industry, so they know just how to help set you up for a great career.
We have well-established links with construction employers and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to work on real projects. Our students and apprentices were part of the team building Nottingham’s tram system and they are involved in many other building projects around the city, including our very own brand new City Hub!
You will gain valuable work experience with industry partners and may even get the opportunity to take part in one of our well-established international work experience projects. You could even take part in competitions, to show off the skills you’ve learned and add to your CV.

We offer courses from Entry Level right up to Degree Level as well as Apprenticeships in some areas, so you can progress to the level that suits you and then into industry.

Bricklayer - Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)
On this course you’ll learn the skills needed for a career in bricklaying while earning a wage.
Bricklaying (Level 1 City & Guilds Diploma) - Full-time
This course is perfect if you want to pursue a career in bricklaying, enjoy building and want to develop your skills in this trade.

Gas - ACS Core Safety Reassessment (CCN1) Plus Elements - Part-time
The Core Gas Safety Re-assessment covers the core competencies needed to obtain the Gas Safe certification.
Gas - Boilers and Water Heaters ACS (CENWAT1) - Part-time
This assessment tests gas safety competence in installing, commissioning, exchanging, disconnecting, servicing, repairing and breakdown domestic central heating boilers and water heaters.
Gas - Carbon Monoxide/Dioxide Dwelling (CMDDA1) Assessment
The CMDDA1 certification is designed to test the competence of a gas engineer in being able to determine levels of monoxide and the presence of CO2.
Gas - Change Over Natural Gas to Liquid Petroleum (CoNGLP1) Assessment
The Gas Safety Assessment covers the core competencies needed to obtain the Gas Safe certification for working with LPG.

This Gas Safety Assessment tests the gas safety competence in installing, exchanging, disconnecting, servicing, repairing, breakdown and commissioning domestic open, balanced and fan assisted flued gas fires and wall heaters, and flue-less gas fires.
Gas - Laundry ACS (LAU1)
This Gas Safety Assessment tests the gas safety competence in installing, exchanging, disconnecting, servicing, repairing, breakdown and commissioning domestic laundry tumble dryers.
Gas - Meters ACS (MET1) - Part-time
This assessment tests the gas safety competence in installing, exchanging, removing and commissioning domestic gas meters.
Gas - Warm Air Unit ACS (DAH1)
This Gas Safety Assessment tests the gas safety competence in installing, exchanging, disconnecting, servicing, repairing, breakdown and commissioning domestic warm air units.
Gas - Water Regulations
This course is aimed at individuals that require knowledge of the Water Regulations 1999.
Gas - Widney Fire (HTRLP2)
This Gas Safety Assessment tests the gas safety competence in installing, exchanging, disconnecting, servicing, repairing, breakdown and commissioning of an LPG gas fire typically found in LAV and RPH.

This course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn basic home improvement skills and gain the confidence to tackle DIY projects around the house.

This course is perfect if you want a career in the industry and hold a lower level qualification already, or are already employed and require an industry-recognised qualification to add to your portfolio.
